    Nilüfer İnandım

    (Painting, Expressionism, Collage)

İnandım decided to professionalize in the field of art after discovering her interest in art in her early childhood. She respectively got training from Fine Arts High School in Nicosia, Antalya University and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Nilufer İnandım has a unique, attention-grabbing style. The artist generally studies on-canvas with oil painting but occasionally, she also adopts collage technique by using materials like candles, knives, duct tape and so forth. Effects of German Expressionist approach can easily be observed in her paintings. The resemblance is perceptible both in the colors and figures İnandım uses in her artwork. Explicit lines, gentle facial features, enormous and irritating eyes of figures in İnandım's work are generally women. Huge, naked and sad looking women figures contrasting the well-accepted judgments and sense of aesthetics are put in the focus of audience. Destruction of traditional patterns visible in the paintings taking part in the collection enables the re-judgment of both the woman's body and perceptions of the body. The artist uses the colors according to her style and presents an integrated composition to the audience.
